When i visited Yamba is was hammering down with rain which i guess is unusual. It made my short stay a bit bland as the beach was off and the town was very wet. However, i noticed two very busy restaurants, a nice little collection of shops and takeaways. a few drinking holes etc. Id say when the sun is shining it looks a 100% more appealing.
Im told the surfing is great but not my thing. wortha visit if youre a surfer or just travelling up the coast. lots of waterways, pelicand, wildlife.
Its just off the highway so easy access and when youre there you feel like youre in the middle of nowhere so that works!
Worth a trip for 2-4 days in my opinion.

Yamba is the most delightful place, I would live there if I could. Everything is so convenient. Restaurants are great, and I very rarely come home without a new pair of shoes - the shoe shop is excellent.

Yamba is lovely, beaches, fishing, golf, there is plenty to do . Be very careful where you stay , that is the key. The sands is great, be wary of the Cove, please note they are owned by the same organisation, I am just being honest.

I only stayed overnight on my way from QLD to VIC so didn't get to see much of the town. It seemed like a nice little seaside town though and would have loved to be able to stay longer to explore it.

Thank you.
Thank you. We stayed in the apartment and loved every minute. You have thought of all the little extras . Would have stayed longer but already booked. 100% we will be back. Very quick to respond, helpful and pleasant to deal with. ❤️
The apartment has lots of room and the furnishings are very comfortable. The kitchen has almost everything I needed for self catering. ( I always have a few extra things like a stove-top coffee maker and a large pan for cooking pasta.) The hosts, Jacqui and Charlie gave a warm welcome. While I didn't need any assistance during my stay at Club Yamba I felt that they would have done their best to resolve any problem if I had encountered one.
This is the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. It felt like a hotel (granted we had a private room). It was so clean. The bedroom had its own flat screen TV and bathroom had toiletries. The staff were so friendly. The cafe area has been converted to a micro-brewery. We tasted some beers and they were great. I would stay here again, it feels good to support local staff doing such a great job.
Zoe went out of her way to make our group feel welcome. We had a barbecue on Fri night and she helped organise the hot-plate barbecue for our use as well as providing extra tables & chairs. The Stella is in an enviable position in Yamba and it was a short walk away from The Pacific Hotel for a great Saturday night dinner/get together.
We were unable to stay at Lighthouse Unit 2 in June 2022 due to being uninhabitable to to water damage from a leaking roof. We were told by property manager Yamba Iluka real estate it had been damaged in March and had not been able to get fixed due to bad weather and would take a significant time to dry out then be repaired.
Must be the best location in Yamba, overlooking the beach and ocean with the murmuring of the waves and quiring of sea nymphs to lull you to sleep at night. The room was stylish and modern, and the bed was very comfortable. Didn't get to try the restaurant, but heard good reports from local friends - next time!
Nicely presented, clean and quiet--nothing too fancy, just a nice place to stay when visiting Yamba or breaking up longer trip. It was just off the main road, however when in the rooms we weren't aware of roadnoise which was great.
A shout out to the very friendly and helpful staff!
The location was excellent, on top of the hill at Yamba. Close to great walking along the ocean, beach, and also easy walk to food/town-centre/cafes. Terry the host was also great - very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and newly renovated.
We stayed at Yamba Beach Motel for nostalgia, my husband fished at Yamba as a young boy. The area is beautiful. Motel is on a cliff. And you can look out to the rolling or boiling ocean. Great restaurant below the motel.
Very clean. Noticed the staff cleaning rails around the place, barbecue areas etc. The management obviously takes a lot of pride in their resort. The rooms were very nice and roomy and well equiped.
The property is the best we have stayed at in Yamba. The location and outlook were excellent. The apartment was furnished really nicely and was a great size. Also excellent value for money.
